God has truthfully been showing off in my life a few ways this week and I wanted to share it with my lovely readers.
Student Teaching
Some of you know I have been looking for a job at a Christian school for the 2010-2011 school year and haven't been able to find one. I love where I work now, but since I am completing my masters, I am required to do 300 hours of student teaching. A few weeks ago, my principal called me into her office to see if I had decided on anything. I told her I still had no idea what I was going to do next year. My dad had been wondering if they would let me take a leave of absence for the few weeks needed to do my student teaching. I figured they wouldn't let me, but I decided to ask the principal anyways. She didn't know if they would, but she said she'd ask the lady over personnel in the district office. Well it's been over a month since I talked to my principal about it and she had never heard anything back from the personnel lady so I decided to take things into my own hands. I emailed the personnel lady yesterday to see if I would be able to take a leave of absence. She talked to the superintendent and he said YES!!! It will be in the spring and without pay :(, but I know that if this is God's will then I will make it. I just need to learn to save money better.
Rooming for Liberty
In July I am taking 2 week-long courses at Liberty University for my masters. During the week I was at Liberty in December, I met 2 girls. We have communicated facebook since meeting and are taking the same 2 courses in July. We were looking for hotels in Lynchburg, but everything was so expensive since we are staying for 2 weeks. We started looking on Craigslist for apartments for sublet while college students were out of town for the summer. We didn't find anything. One of the girls has a friend who has a friend that goes to Liberty, I believe. Well her husband is in the military in Texas so during the summer she is going to spend time with him. She will have a vacant 3 bedroom apartment and has decided that we can use it for those 2 weeks! All we have to pay is $100 per person for electricity, water, and internet. Isn't that amazing?! Hotels were going to charge us $800 for the 2 weeks.
God is so good! God truthfully does answer prayers.
